Warning! Be careful while performing this trick because you can end up in unstable windows.

Step 1: Modify explorer.exe

If the warning didn’t scare you enough, then the title of this step probably did. Yes, we are going to change Explorer, the backbone of your Windows XP, but don’t worry. Everything should be safe as long as you follow the steps closely.

As explorer is a binary file, we need a special tool to modify it. One of the best ones for this purpose is Resource Hacker. There are of course others that will get the trick done, but we will be using RH in this tutorial so I recommend installing it to avoid making mistakes. Install it and let’s continue.

As always before changing anything. you want to back up. So open My Computer and navigate to and look for explorer. Copy paste it to a safe location on your hard drive.

 Sometimes your status includes reference to friends, groups or even events they are attending, for this Facebook has added a new feature to tag people and other things you're connected to on Facebook.
Steps to tag people
When you are writing a status update and want to add a friend's name to something you are posting, just include the "@" symbol beforehand.
As you type the name of what you would like to reference, a drop-down menu will appear that allows you to choose from your list of friends and other connections, including groups, events, applications and Pages.

Increase Virtual RAM - To Make Your System Faster

Follow the steps given below :- 

   

1 Hold down the 'Windows' Key and Press the 'Pause/Break' button at the top right of your keyboard.

Another way is Right-Clicking 'My Computer' and then Select 'Properties'.

2 Click on the 'Advanced' tab.

3 Under 'Performance', click 'Settings'.

4 Then click the 'Advanced' tab on the button that pops up.

5 Under 'Virtual Memory' at the bottom, click 'Change'.

6 Click the 'Custom Size' button.

7 For the initial size (depending on your HD space), type in anywhere from 1000-1500 (although I use 4000), and for the Maximum size type in anywhere from 2000-2500 (although I use 6000).

8 Click 'Set', and then exit out of all of the windows.

9 Finally, Restart your computer.

10 You now have a faster computer.

Note:How much the computer gets faster will also depend on your system configuration.

Renaming Recycle Bin In XP

1. Open regedit.

     Note:To run regedit go to start-->run-->type regedit and press enter

2. Then go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08- 00AA002F954E}\ShellFolder.

3. Right click on Attributes and select Modify.

Renamed Recycle Bin

4. Change value 0000    40  01  00  20  to  0000    70  01  00  20.

    Note:Press del. to delete 40.

5. Now select Recycle Bin and press F2 to rename it.

Make games run fast and without any lag

1. Open Notepad.

2. Type @echo off




3. Then in next line type cd /d "Directory folder of your game".eg:- "C:\Program Files\EA Sports\FIFA 10\"

4.In next line type start /high gamename.exe




5. Save it as anyname.bat.eg:-Fifa10.bat

It will be the same as setting a process to high priority but it will save your time to go again and again to task manager and changing the priority and who wants to pause a game and open the task manager.
